SAKU is a ceramic studio based in the cozy town of Odense, founded by couple Sarah and Mattis out of a shared desire to reconnect with creativity, and trade the screen-driven grind for the tactile joy of working with clay. We believe that creativity is at the heart of what makes us human, and at SAKU, we get our hands dirty to bring that belief to life.

The name SAKU, means “bloom” in Japanese, and is a tribute to the natural beauty that inspires our work.

Our Mission is simple: to craft beautiful, functional items that elevate the everyday. We believe that art shouldn’t be something you only find in a gallery—it should be something you hold in your hands, use, and cherish. Each piece from SAKU is made with the intention of bringing a little more beauty and happiness into the world.
